xAI, Elon Musk’s AI startup, announced the launch of its latest AI model, Grok 3, on February 19. Dubbed the "world’s most powerful AI," Grok 3 excels in reasoning, mathematics, coding, and has demonstrated outstanding performance in various benchmark tests.
What are Grok 3’s Highlights?
According to xAI, Grok 3 is its most advanced AI model to date, integrating exceptional reasoning abilities with extensive knowledge training. Key features include:
- Trained on Supercomputer Colossus: Grok 3’s computational power is 10 times that of its predecessor.
- New Features: DeepSearch and Think:
- DeepSearch goes beyond traditional search by synthesizing key information, reasoning through conflicting viewpoints, and providing clear conclusions.
- Think Mode allows Grok 3 to solve complex problems by simulating human thought processes and displaying each step of the reasoning.
- Both Grok 3 Standard and Grok 3 Mini have surpassed OpenAI’s ChatGPT and DeepSeek R1 in multiple benchmark tests.
Grok 3 Available for Free
xAI announced via social media platform X yesterday (Feb 20) that Grok 3 is now freely accessible to all users:
"That’s it—the world’s smartest AI, Grok 3, is now free until our servers crash."
However, note that the free version of Grok 3 comes with usage limitations and restricted access to certain features. To fully unlock Grok 3’s capabilities, users can subscribe to X Premium+ or SuperGrok.
- X Premium+ subscribers gain priority access to all basic Grok 3 features.
- SuperGrok users enjoy unlimited access to DeepSearch and Think features.
An enterprise API for Grok 3 will be available in the coming weeks, allowing industries such as national defense and medical diagnostics to integrate Grok 3 into their systems.

不过值得注意的是，当前的免费的 Grok 3 仍然在使用次数和部分功能上有使用限制，
而要完全解锁 Grok 3，可分别根据需求订阅 X 平台的 X Premium+ 服务和 Grok 的 SuperGrok 服务。
目前，X Premium+ 用户可优先使用 Grok 3 的各项基础功能，
SuperGrok 则可无限制解锁 DeepSearch 与 Think 功能。 另外，Grok 3 的企业 API 还将在未来数周内开放，届时包括国防安全与医疗诊断系统，都可将 Grok 3 整合进入。
